Introducing AppGlass!
AppGlass is an open source, lightweight application launcher for desktop GNU/Linux operating system. AppGlass offers:
- Faster application search. It loads all the launchers to the memory to serve you at a glance.
- Appealing interface. AppGlass uses fake transparency to look gorgeous and less resource hungry at the same time.
- Inbuilt File Search. It can search your home directory for your files.
- Inbuilt Music Player. Why not listening to music while you work? Just bring up AppGlass with your special key, choose the track you like and simply carry on your work.
- WebMusic Plug-in. AppGlass allows you to stream music even through free online services, without ever leaving the application you are working on!
- Lightweight. AppGlass code base weighs less than 100 kB.
- AppGlass makes Mac & Windows fans feel extremely jealous about you! : D (The most prominent feature so far)
Installers available for : Ubuntu, Fedora, Arch Linux

Installation
Please note that AppGlass is still immature, so there is a chance you might experience bugs.
Copy the whole code block relevant to your operating system at once, and paste it into your Terminal. Then press enter.

Ubuntu:
cd /tmp; wget https://github.com/kumarasinghe/appglass/releases/download/1.0/appglass_installer.tar.gz; tar -xvzf appglass_installer.tar.gz; cd appglass_installer; sudo bash ubuntu_install
Fedora:
cd /tmp; wget https://github.com/kumarasinghe/appglass/releases/download/1.0/appglass_installer.tar.gz; tar -xvzf appglass_installer.tar.gz; cd appglass_installer; sudo bash fedora_install
Arch:

*You might want to restart your computer after installing.
Uninstall
In case you want to remove AppGlass execute the following command block in your Terminal:
sudo rm -r /usr/share/appglass; sudo rm /usr/bin/appglass; sudo rm /usr/bin/appglass-service.gambas; sudo rm /etc/xdg/autostart/appglass.desktop; sudo rm "/usr/share/applications/AppGlass Launcher.desktop"
You may also remove the package "gambas3-runtime" manually from your package manager.

Configuration
Once the installation is complete, you will get the AppGlass launcher in your application list. Clicking it, brings up AppGlass.
However, you need to assign a hot key to make AppGlass appear and disappear whenever you need. Assigning a hotkey differs by the desktop environment you use. Usually, a new keyboard shortcut can be assigned through Settings window in your operating system.
The command or the action that you must bind with the shortcut is:
appglass

Known issues:
- If you are using XFCE desktop make sure that you have enabled display compositing in Window Manager Tweaks.
- If you have docks or panels on the bottom edge of your screen, make sure they can be covered by other programs.
